🎮 If you’re hoping that gaming turns into dating, you might be doing it backwards. The couples I surveyed who met through video games almost never started with romantic intent. They started as friends, full stop. And Mariah and Corey’s story is no exception.
🔪 Corey wasn’t trying to meet anyone. He’d just gotten off the road as a truck driver, hadn’t touched a video game in three years, and only logged into Dead by Daylight because his brother wouldn’t stop bugging him about it. When Mariah joined, she was also brand new to the game and was getting used as bait by everyone else.
