🍷 Giving up on dating is common if you focus on getting DATES when what you actually want is a relationship. But does dating actually lead to a long-term relationship? Sometimes, yes. But throughout all my surveys, most couples actually started as friends (no, most weren’t just “bad at dating”). After all, many who are good at dating end up marrying their friend 💍
👀 In this episode, Chris shares how he couldn’t find someone to settle down with, even if he had no trouble getting dates or hookups. Apparently, those only happened because he was doing what he was “supposed to do”: He dressed properly, tried to play the games that those women wanted, and never showed his nerd side. He was getting dates. And yet, he’d given up on dating as a means to find a wife.
📱 And then, Annah came into the picture. Not as someone he could realistically build a relationship with (she lived too far away). But as a fellow nerd he could just connect with over his love of Star Wars 🛸 Soon, Instagram comments turned into a private conversation, which later developed into a strong friendship… with a little flirting on the side.
